The mission of the Ewing Township Health Department is to protect public health, promote individual well-being & prevent diseases.
The Health Department employs full-time licensed staff that includes: a Health Officer, Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Public Health Field Investigator, two Public Health Nurses, Registrar of Vital Statistics, and an Animal Control Officer. A Health Educator is on staff on a contractual basis.

Alan Lee is the Health Officer responsible for promoting health, preventing/controlling communicable and non-communicable diseases, and protecting against environmental hazards in Ewing.
The Board of Health meets monthly, on the 4th Tuesday of the month immediately prior to Council meetings at 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Meetings are held in Council Chambers.
The Ewing Township Board of Health is comprised of the 5 members of the Ewing Township Council. The Mission of the Ewing Township Board of Health is to protect, improve, and promote the health, productivity, and well-being of all Ewing Township residents.
For public health or an environmental health emergency, the Health Officer or his staff are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
