It’s October and the weather will soon begin to change.
We are all looking forward to the beautiful change of seasons. Fall is the best time of the year to think about fall cleaning, including cleaning out your storage areas or file cabinets in your home and shredding all paper you have saved up! Our upcoming Document Shredding Event will help you put this task behind you.
Mayor Bert Steinmann invites you to dispose of your SENSITIVE DOCUMENTS safely and securely at Ewing’s final Shred Day of the year this weekend, Saturday, October 5th from 9 am – 1 pm at the Ewing Municipal Building front parking lot.
This free event is for Township residents only and provides a safe and secure way to clean out old checks, bills and any confidential documents that need proper disposal. Materials will not be accepted from businesses and Ewing residents will be required to provide Proof of Residency.
Because this is an extremely popular program, please be prepared to spend a few minutes waiting in line. For your safety and the safety of others, citizens will be required to stay in their cars while workers remove your shredding items from your car for you. This event will take place rain or shine.
Reminder: please ensure that only sensitive documents are brought for shredding, such as those containing personal information like bank statements or medical records. Papers that are typically recycled, such as newspapers, magazines, and junk mail, should be disposed of through regular recycling channels instead. This helps focus the shredding service on protecting sensitive data while keeping the event efficient.
Examples Of What to Bring:
Obsolete Tax Documents, Bank Statements/Cancelled Checks, Sensitive information, Birth dates, Social Security Information, Signatures, Passwords and Pins, Credit Card Statements and Receipts, Credit Card Offers, Reports and Histories, etc.
