John S. Watson Park

John S. Watson Park is situated on 66 acres off of Upper Ferry Rd or Scotch Rd.  It was formerly called Rambling Creek Park.  The site is named for John S. Watson, former Ewing resident, first African-American elected to the Board of Chosen Freeholders in Mercer County, and six term legislator in the New Jersey General Assembly from the 15th Legislative District. He was the father of our current Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman.

John S. Watson Park is great for...

Passive Recreation: Enjoy a quiet experience in our secluded park, have a picnic, take the kids to the playground and/or enjoy a stroll on the grounds.

Active Recreation:  Enjoy a game of softball or a soccer match.

The facilities here include 2 barbeque areas, a pavilion, picnic tables, 1 adult softball field, and playground equipment. A Port o john is onsite during the season.  The Carlton section of this park has an adult softball field and outdoor roller-hockey rink.
