Room Rentals

Are you planning that special party or event and looking for a perfect space to hold it? Whether a meeting room, a large room with kitchen facilities, a gym, or conference room, we have a space for you in the Hollowbrook Community Center. Our rental staff is committed to helping you find the perfect room for your event. All rentals are issued on a first come, first served basis. We allow multiple room requests, but each requires a separate deposit.

All applicants must submit an application for use of a facility. Once you are approved, you will receive a contract that you must complete and return within 10 days. Copy of valid Identification is required for approval. You will be notified within (7) days of your approval. Payments in the form of cash, checks and money orders are accepted. Checks and money orders are to be made payable to the community center where you are holding your event: e.g. "Hollowbrook Community Center" or "Ewing Senior and Community Center."


  • All applicants must be approved by the Director of Community Affairs (ESCC), or the Assistant Director (HCC) before a deposit will be accepted. If approved, you may come in and fill out a contract or one will be sent to you to complete and return within 10 days. (In-person application is preferred as we can discuss event details and specifics with you at that time.)
  • A copy of your Photo ID is required for proof of residency.
  • The Township of Ewing prohibits smoking and alcoholic beverages in all facilities.
  • Payments in the form of cash, checks or money orders (made out to the appropriate rental facility - Ewing Senior and Community Center or Hollowbrook Community Center) are accepted.
  • A $25.00 fee will be charged for returned checks.
  • Security deposits must be submitted at the time of contract signing. They may take from 6 - 8 weeks to be returned.
  • The Balance Due (or) cancellations must be 3 weeks before the scheduled event. No refunds are available after 3 weeks.
  • Cleanup is your responsibility. All rooms must be left as you found them or you will forfeit your security deposit. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
  • Rental hours are from 9 am to 11 om. An overtime charge will be assessed in hour increments for any hour or part therof for events when the room is not vacated by the ending time.
  • A copy of a Certificate of Insurance and/or a Food Handlers License is required for all organizations and businesses.

End of event responsibilities of the renter:
  • Clean all center property used during the term of this agreement.
  • Remove all personal property of the Renter or it's guests.
  • Place all garbage and sweepings in the receptables (dumpters) outside the premises.
  • Clean and mop any wet spots or spills on the floor or any other surfaces.
  • Return and restore all center property in the same condition as received.


If you do not want the requested room after the contract is finalized, we will need WRITTEN NOTIFICATION (3) WEEKS PRIOR TO THE RESERVED DATE for a refund.

Room Rentals

ESCC Community Room
  • The Community Room has a 80-90 person capacity with tables and chairs. It has kitchen facilities and a projector and 12’ screen. The cost for up to 5 hours is $375 for residents with a $175 refundable security deposit and $525 with a $250 refundable security deposit for non-residents. There is an additional cost of $110 for every hour after.
  • A small event in the Community Room (under 30 people and maximum of 3 hours) costs $80/hr for residents with a $100 refundable security deposit. The cost for non-residents is $130/hr with a $150 refundable security deposit.
