Spring Brush and Yard Waste Clean Up to Begin March 24th

Residential Brush and Yard Waste Curbside Pickup Scheduled

2020 Spring Clean UpThe annual Spring Brush and yard waste pick up at the curbside is set to begin March 24th and will continue to the middle of June (approximately, June 12th).  The schedule is weather dependent.

Brush Collection Guidelines

  • Leaves and other yard waste should be placed in biodegradable paper bags, open containers, or tied and bundled as appropriate. Yard waste should NOT be included in with your regular garbage.
  • Branches and limbs should be cut into 4’ lengths and securely tied in bundles with a total weight not exceeding 50 pounds.
  • NO PLASTIC BAGSwill be collected. Biodegradable PAPER leaf bags ONLY will be collected.  At this time, for your safety and that of our employees, we are not distributing the Biodegradable PAPER leaf bags from the Department of Public Works facility.  When we have determined how we may safely do so, and the Governor’s and Mayor’s States of Emergency are lifted, we will post a notice of availability.
  • Please be sure to keep the debris out of the street and away from the storm drains.  Township Ordinances require that yard waste not be placed closer than 10 feet from any storm drain inlet (§ 319-31). Please reference our Stormwater Pollution Prevention page for additional information about this topic.
  • During the Coronavirus emergency, the Brush Drop Off Center on Jack Stephan Way is closed to the public. We will update you when it reopens so that you may, if you wish, drop off your residential brush.

Please, under no circumstances should loose or piled grass be placed at the curb. We encourage you to leave your grass clippings on your lawn for a healthier lawn. For more information about this see our Grasscycling information.
