Ewing Township has been awarded $436,384 in FY25 Municipal Aid Grants from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) to fund critical improvements to Bull Run Road.
This grant is part of a broader $150 million statewide initiative aimed at enhancing local infrastructure.
Mercer County municipalities collectively received over $6.5 million for transportation projects, with funding prioritizing pedestrian safety and road improvements. Nearly 42% of the allocations support communities with Complete Streets policies, and an additional $22.2 million was directed toward projects meeting equity criteria benefiting low-income and minority populations.
“This funding is a big win for Ewing Township. Improving Bull Run Road will not only enhance safety but also make travel smoother for everyone in our community," said Mayor Bert Steinmann. "We’re grateful to the NJDOT and the Murphy Administration for recognizing the importance of investing in local infrastructure. These types of grants make a real difference in the quality of life for our residents, and we look forward to getting this project underway.”
