Get Ready for Fun! Late Summer Township Recreation Programs & Fall Sports Registrations Announced

Get ready for a fantastic fall with Ewing Recreation!

Mayor Bert H. Steinmann announces a lineup of events and activities that promise fun for everyone in the community. "We're excited to see our community come together for the 9th annual Fall Spin Bike Ride, benefiting Trenton Area Soup Kitchen,” Steinmann said. “This event, along with our upcoming Trunk or Treat and various sports registrations, showcases the vibrant, active spirit of Ewing. Our recreation programs offer something for everyone, and we encourage all residents to participate and enjoy these activities. Let's make this season memorable.” Here’s what’s coming up:

9th Annual Fall Spin Bike Ride

Join us on Saturday, Sept. 21, for the Ewing Green Team’s 9th annual Fall Spin Bike Ride starting at Campus Town. This year's ride benefits Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) and is a great way to enjoy the crisp fall air while supporting a wonderful cause. In-person registration kicks off at 7:45 a.m., with the ride starting at 8:15 a.m. Pre-register online at communitypass.net. Pre-registration is required to guarantee a t-shirt.  Register online via CommunityPass or fill out the registration form and mail it along with your check made out to the Ewing Twp. Spooktacular Trunk or Treat

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Oct. 26. Ewing Recreation’s Trunk or Treat event begins at 3 p.m. at the TCNJ parking area. Enjoy pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, delicious food, music, and heaps of candy. It's the perfect event to get into the Halloween spirit!

Youth Sports Registrations

Fall registrations are now open for youth tackle football and soccer. Football practices and games are held at Moody Park, starting in early August. Register at ewingjrbluedevils.com. Soccer activities are at the Municipal Soccer Fields next to the municipal building, with practices starting in August and games kicking off in mid-September. Sign up at ewingunited.com. Ewing/Lawrence Little League is also accepting registrations for Fall Ball at ltjbsa.com.

Dive into Fun at Ewing Community Pools

Our community pools are perfect for beating the heat! The Hollowbrook Pool at 320 Hollowbrook Drive is open Sunday to Friday, and the ESCC Pool at 999 Lower Ferry Rd is open daily. Pool hours are from 12 to 8 p.m., shifting to 12 to 7:30 p.m. starting Aug. 12. Come and make a splash!

Pickleball Anyone?

Join the Ewing Pickleball group at Banchoff Park! Sessions are on Tuesday mornings from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Connect with the group via the Team Reach app using group code E08638.

Picnic Area Permits

Planning a picnic? The Ewing Recreation Department is accepting applications for picnic area permits at John Watson Park, Banchoff Park, Higgs Park, and Betor Park. Rental Space Available

Planning a celebration? The ESCC, 609-883-1776 x2 and Hollowbrook Community Center, 609-883-1199 have rooms available for rent for small groups to large parties. Kitchen facilities are available.
