Rail Replacement Daytime & Overnight Work SEPTA West Trenton Line

Beginning Monday, February 5th, SEPTA in-house forces will be removing and replacing two miles of rail along the West Trenton Line.

Crews will be performing this work between Yardley Station in Yardley Borough and West Trenton Station in Ewing Township, New Jersey.

Work will be performed weekdays between 8 am and 3 pm. Some night work (11 pm to 7 am) and weekend day work may also be needed. During construction, the West Trenton Line will operate via a single track. In addition, SEPTA will need to occupy a row of parking spaces at Yardley Station. Rail work should be completed by the end of March.

What to expect: This project requires the use of track equipment, including tie inserters, tampers, regulators, and spikers. Overnight work will be noisy. Expect to hear typical machine noise, back-up alarms and banging.

Lighting will also be used in work areas.
