Get your taxes done for free!
Mayor Bert Steinmann is pleased to announce that AARP Tax-Aide free tax help is available for taxpayers of all ages at the Hollowbrook Community Center, Hollowbrook Branch Library. AARP membership is not required. AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) trained tax preparers focus on low and moderate income returns but can prepare most personal returns within training guidelines. They will assist in the preparation of the federal and New Jersey state income tax returns, as well as PTR “Senior Freeze” forms free of charge.
Appointments are required and are limited. Pre-appointment packets must be picked up and filled out prior to appointments. Once you have made your appointment, please download Form 13614-C (Rev. 10-2022) (irs.gov), fill it out, and bring it to your appointment. This is the same form you will be asked to pick up before your appointment. Individuals are reminded to bring copies of their 2021 federal and state income tax returns as well as all tax forms and documents they received in the mail for tax reporting purposes. Appointments can be scheduled by visiting the Hollowbrook Branch or by calling (609) 883-5914.
The Income Tax Assistance Program will be available at the Hollowbrook Senior Center, 320 Hollowbrook Road, Ewing on Monday mornings from 9: 3O am – noon starting February 5, 2024, through April 15, 2024.
