Summary of autumn events and registration for league play for the 2023 – 2024 season!

Ewing Recreation Basketball League (ERBL)

Register online at CommunityPass.net.  ERBL is open to boys and girls in grades K – 8. It is mandatory for all new players to provide proof of grade, school, and residency.

The league will have the following divisions this season:

  • Instructional for boys’ grades K – 1. Boy’s leagues are grades 2-3, 4–5, 6–8.
  • Girl’s divisions include Instructional for K – 1, leagues for grades 3 – 5 and 6 – 8.

Everyone makes a team. The registration deadline is November 4th. Games will be played on Saturdays at Fisher and Antheil. Check out the league website at www.leaguelineup.com/erbl for additional information.

Ewing Recreation Wrestling

The Ewing Recreation Wrestling program will start its’ winter season on November 14th. The registration deadline is November 17th.  Practices will be held at Fisher New Gym on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings for children in grades K-8. No experience is necessary. Trunk or Treat

On Saturday, October 28th, Ewing Recreation will host our annual Trunk or Treat event starting at 3:00pm, for a safer alternative to trunk or treating. Activities include pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, food, music and more.

During the event Ewing children from tiny tots up through eighth grade are invited to gather there and go from car to car, collecting treats.  Treats are distributed by Ewing parents and other adults from their decorated car trunks loaded with candy.

The event will be held at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), rain, or shine. Treaters and Trunks need to register on CommunityPass.net.  All candy must be pre-packaged.  The rain date is Sunday, October 29th.

Chess Club

Ewing Recreation has a chess club that meets on Wednesday evenings at St. Luke’s Church on Prospect St. Play is from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. Interested participants are welcome to attend or email Bong Ortiz at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Adult Co-Ed Pick-up Volleyball

Adult Co-Ed Pick-up Volleyball will be held on Wednesday nights at Antheil School from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. This program is informal and is for all levels of players.

For room rentals call the Hollowbrook Community Center at 883-1199 and ESCC 883-1776 for small groups to large parties.
