Shuttle bus Information for upcoming rail maintenance work on Sunday, March 19^th

SEPTA notice of a weekend shuttle bus substitution on Sunday, March 19 (entire service day).  Due to the welder rail train delivery on March 19^th, shuttle buses will replace all trains between West Trenton and the Woodbourne Stations.  They will serve West Trenton, Yardley, and Woodbourne.

Septa Rail Upgrades

SEPTA is going to perform some necessary maintenance projects on Sunday, March 19^th. Per SEPTA’s ongoing maintenance program for replacing track materials due to regular life-cycle wear, SEPTA's Track Department will be unloading a train carrying continuous welded rail on Sunday, March 19, 2023, to replace rail on a segment of the West Trenton Regional Rail Line.

The work is scheduled to begin at 5:00 AM and they anticipate needing 10 hours to complete the operation. The work area will be located between Yardley Station and West Trenton Station. Due to the complexities of this work, shuttle buses will transport Regional Rail passengers between Woodbourne and West Trenton stations. Please allow for extra time for your commute.

INBOUND Buses depart West Trenton Station 17 minutes earlier than regularly scheduled train time. Trains will depart 5 minutes after bus arrival at Woodbourne Station. Passengers should add approximately 25 to 30 minutes to their travel time.

OUTBOUND The connecting shuttle bus will depart Woodbourne Station 5 minutes after train arrival. Passengers should add approximately 25 to 30 minutes to their travel time.

Regional Rail service on the West Trenton Line will return to normal operation on Monday, March 20th.
