Compliance Plan approved for Ewing Township

The Mercer County Board of Taxation has approved a Compliance Plan application which will adjust the assessments in 22 neighborhoods for the 2022 Calendar year.

TaxationThese adjustments were deemed necessary due to the increased market values compared to the current property assessments.

Over the past two years, sales data has indicated that residential properties in several Ewing Township neighborhoods have increased dramatically compared with their property assessments.

The Assessor filed a Compliance Plan application, which was approved by the Mercer County Board of Taxation, to increase the assessments on the properties in 22 neighborhoods.  These revised assessments will be reflected for the 2022 Calendar Year.   Here are the neighborhoods where the assessments will be changed:

Arbor Walk; Cambridge Hall; Crestmont Park; Village on the Green; Ewing Park; Fernwood Terrace; Fernwood Manor; Glen Ewing; Harrop-Thurston; Hickory Hills; High Acres; Hillcrest; Homecrest; Hillwood Manor; Mountain View Park; Parkway Village; Prospect Heights; Parkway/Saratoga; Shabakunk Hills; Spring Meadow; Tall Woods; and Weber Park.

In addition to the green Assessment Notification post cards, property owners will receive an additional letter notifying them of an assessment change.

If a property owner feels their property is over assessed compared to their property’s market value, they may file an appeal with the Mercer County Board of Taxation on or before April 1, 2022.   See Appeal Information posted below.
