2021 Fall Leaf & Brush Collection Schedule

Collection methods have changed, so please read carefully.

2021 Leaf and Brush Collection ScheduleEffective Monday, October 25th, the Public Works staff will begin leaf collection throughout the town.  The Township of Ewing will no longer pick up loose leaves!

As per updated regulations from the NJDEP, Ewing Township Ordinance §319 Article V: Leaves, Brush and Yard Waste has been updated to remain in compliance with the NJDEP stormwater rules and regulations.   The following collection guidelines are now in effect:

The Department of Public Works will strive to keep up with the scheduled pickup as noted above, however, if you notice that your garbage day has come and gone without pickup, please be patient.  The Township Public Works Department is currently operating with an employee shortage.  There are also situations when equipment will break down.  These may result in setbacks in keeping up with the leaf/brush pickup schedule.  If that happens, we ask for your patience.  We will service all homes.

Brush/Tree Parts

Brush and tree parts must not be longer than 4’ and a maximum diameter of 6 “.  You may containerize your brush or use rope/twine to tie it into bundles.

No containers: leaf bags, cans, or bundles should exceed 50 lbs.

No materials should be placed in the street.  This causes additional clean-up problems on the street surface and in storm sewers.  It may also obstruct visibility or cause traffic flow problems.
