In this two-part webinar series you will take a deeper dive into the classic book "The Godfather" followed by a separate virtual cooking tutorial, done live via Zoom (includes entree and dessert).

Session one on June 10 at 7pm, led by Cecilia Colbeth, Adjunct Professor of Women's and Gender Studies & Philosophy, Religion, and Classical Studies, will discuss the culture of the conventional Italian dinner and the gender roles surrounding it. Prof. Colbeth will examine excerpts from "The Godfather" and analyze the dynamics of the notorious Corleone clan, and the traditions of Italian family and culture.

The second session on June 12 at 1pm, will feature a live, virtual cooking class with Italian Chef, Andrea Consoli. Chef Andrea will walk you through each step of preparing a delicious dinner of Rigatoni with Norma Sauce (deep fried eggplant, tomato base, ricotta cheese and basil). Of course, no dinner is complete without dessert. Chef will instruct you in baking a classic traimsu as well. Be sure to grab your favorite glass of wine and prepare to indulge in a true Italian Sunday (or in this case Saturday) dinner!
