Board of Elections Workers Needed

The Mercer County Board of Elections is now hiring qualified New Jersey residents to assist as board workers for this year’s Primary and General Elections.

Citizens of all ages, including college and high school students over the age of 16, are encouraged to apply.   Applicants must be registered to vote in Mercer County.  (Mercer County Board of Elections participates in a state-wide program that hires high school students for half-day shifts.)  You must also be able to read and write legibly and lift at least 25 pounds, the weight of a voting machine. 

To Participate

Compensation

Compensation for a full day shift is $200.  The hours are 5:15 am – 8:00 pm.  Compensation for a half day shift is $100.  The early shift runs from 5:15 am – 1 pm.  The late shift runs from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  The hours for students may vary.

Workers are needed for the Primary Election (Tuesday, June 8, 2021), the November General Election (Tuesday, November 2, 2021) and any Special Elections that may be run.  For more information, please visit the Mercer County Board of Elections.

Addendum

You should have received your ballot in the mail for the June 8th Primary Election.  If you wish you may drop off your ballot in our secured mail Ballot Drop Box locations.  The Ballot boxes are now open.  In Ewing they are located in the front of the Municipal Building at 2 Jake Garzio Drive, at the Mercer County Board of Elections at 1440 Parkside Ave in front of building entrance along curb, and at The College of New Jersey at 1872 Pennington Road In front of the Administrative Services Building.
