Bulk Waste Convenience Center at Scotch Road to Reopen June 4th

Mayor Bert Steinmann is pleased to announce the reopening of the Bulk Waste Convenience Center at 136 Scotch Road beginning on Friday, June 4th.

Bulk Waste Convenience CenterThe site will close at the end of October.

Hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 7 am – 3 pm and Saturdays from 7 am – 2:30 pm.  As was prior to the Pandemic, a Pass/ Bulk Drop-Off Validation Card is required to use the facility.  Residents who do not possess a card will need to sign up at the Ewing Senior and Community Center, 999 Lower Ferry Road during their current open hours (Mon – Fri 8:30 am – 4:30 pm).

We offer the following reminder of the bulk waste drop-off procedures:

Each Ewing address is entitled to 12 NO FEE drop-off visits to the facility per year.

Requirements

Each household user who wishes to use the facility must obtain their own Bulk Drop-Off Validation Card from our Community Pass system. This will require advance sign up at the main office at the Ewing Senior and Community Center, 999 Lower Ferry Road during their current Office Hours.

Mon- Fri 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

A photo ID is required to complete your card registration.

To save some time, you may choose to register each household user in Community Pass online in advance. However, an in-person visit to have your picture taken and receive your card is required to complete the registration.

All households are restricted to 12 visits to the facility annually. The validation cards may not be recharged for more visits and you cannot purchase more visits for your cards. Card use is not transferable and bulk waste generated from outside Ewing Township is not permitted.

Restrictions

Convenience Center privileges are limited to legal residents of Ewing Township only. The following groups are excluded from the Convenience Center: commercial entities, County, State of Federal governments, and non-residents of the Township living in student dormitories and/or housing located on the campus of The College of New Jersey. Contractors are not allowed. Materials may not be dropped off in vehicles with commercial plates.

Each separate trip to the Convenience Center shall constitute a separate drop-off for purposes of calculating each resident's twelve residential bulk waste drop-offs, even if occurring on the same day.
