2021 Schedule of Ewing Township and Mercer County Improvement Authority Recycling Events

The Ewing Township and Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA) schedules for additional recycling events beyond curbside pickup have been published.  We share the 2021 schedules following.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Electronics Recycling Events

The Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA) sponsors three Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Events for residents annually.  They are held at the Dempster Fire School in Lawrence Township at 350 Lawrence Station Road, Lawrenceville, NJ, 08648.  Residents can bring used motor oil, aerosol cans, antifreeze, paint, flammables and other household chemical waste for proper disposal.  Electronic Waste, including computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, stereos, televisions, and microwaves is also collected at these events.  Click on the flyer at right for full details.

MCIA 2021 Shred DatesDocument Shredding Events

The Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA) also sponsors two shredding events each year.  They are held at parking lot  #4 across from the County Administration Building at 641 South Broad Street in Trenton.  Residents may bring a maximum of eight boxes and/or bags of paper.  These events are for Mercer County residents only (no commercial businesses) and proof of residency is required.  This is not an event that will accept household chemicals.  Click on the flyer at right for full details.

EWING TOWNSHIP SHRED EVENTS

Ewing 2021 Shred DatesEwing Township also hosts bi-annual Shred Day events. These free events are for Township residents only and provide a completely safe and secure way to clean out old checks, bills, and any confidential documents that need proper disposal.

Materials from businesses are not accepted and Ewing residents will be required to provide proof of residency. Because this is an extremely popular program please be prepared to spend a few minutes waiting in line. The events take place rain or shine.
 
These events are held at the Municipal Complex located at 2 Jake Garzio Drive.   Click on the flyer at right for full details.

Curbside Recycling Reminder

As you know, curbside recycling in Ewing Township is handled by the Mercer County Improvement Authority. Most questions regarding curbside recyclables can be answered by visiting their website. The MCIA maintains a quality FAQ as well as a list of items that can and cannot be recycled at the curb.
