Join us for an afternoon of fun at our annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 26th featuring our Trunk or Treat event and the culmination of Ewing’s month-long Scarecrow Events.
The Ewing Recreation Department has teamed up with Ewing’s Green Team and Arts Commission and local non-profit, Art Has No Boundaries to help Ewing families celebrate the Halloween season with an event that promises fun for all ages.
A highlight of this event is the annual Trunk or Treat where residents register to decorate the trunks of their cars with themes appropriate for the Halloween festivities and distribute candy and other treats to young trick or treaters going from car to car. This provides a safe environment for families with young children to enjoy the Halloween season. Sign up to register your trunk at https://ewingnj.org/documents-list/department-documents/community-affairs/197-trunk-or-treat-trunk-registration-form-2019/file.
Features of this annual event include:
- Arts and Crafts (1 – 2 pm)
- Music and storytelling by Tim and Jennifer Hoh (2 – 3 pm)
- Trunk or Treat and voting for your favorite ‘People’s Choice’ Scarecrow (3:30 pm)
- Announcement of the winners of the All-Around-Town Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt and Scarecrow Contest at the conclusion of the Trunk or Treat (4 pm (appr.))
