Mercer County Board of Elections needs you to become a Mercer County District Board Worker!
The Mercer County Board of Elections is seeking Mercer County citizens to assist by serving as board workers. Training is required and will be provided. If you are interested, please fill out the application and return it to the Mercer County Board of Elections.
Our election process is successful when dedicated, community spirited individuals, like yourselves, give their time to make it work. As a Board worker your duties are varied, the hours are long, but we know you will find the experience rewarding. Citizens of all ages, including college students, are encouraged to apply. Please do your part to assist your community in ensuring that Election Day in Mercer County is conducted with great competence and responsiveness to the public.
By law, Board workers must attend a training class every two years or when there is a significant change in election procedures. Classes are offered biannually and last for about two hours. They instruct workers on their duties regarding voting machines, voter eligibility, provisional ballots and registration books.
A full Day shift is 5:15 am – 8 pm - $200. A half day shift (am or pm only) - $100.
