Grand Avenue (County Route 579) in Ewing Township is scheduled for milling and resurfacing due to deteriorating pavement conditions.

construction iconRoad Work AlertWork will take place between West Upper Ferry Road and Railroad Avenue beginning on or about Monday, May 4, 2026, and is expected to take approximately 10 business days, weather permitting.

During construction, Grand Avenue will be closed to through traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists will be detoured via West Upper Ferry Road, Decou Avenue, Railroad Avenue, Parkway Avenue, and Silvia Street. Access will be maintained for residents, municipal services, and emergency vehicles. Normal traffic patterns will resume outside of work hours.

Advance notice signage will be posted by Mercer County. Residents and businesses in the area may experience temporary inconvenience during this time.

This project is being completed by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure as part of ongoing efforts to improve roadway conditions.
