The schedule for the Free Rabies Clinics of 2026 for cats and dogs has been posted.
Late spring/early summer is the ideal time to vaccinate your pets, as your dog is more likely to be outdoors and to come into contact with an animal that may carry rabies. The Ewing Township Health Department has scheduled 2 Free Rabies Vaccination Clinics for late May and mid-June. And it is a great time to come in and renew your pet’s license with the Township which is due annually in June.
Our Free Rabies Vaccination Clinics are run under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian as a service for all residents who own dogs and cats. Dates for 2026 are Thursday, May 28th from 5 – 7 pm and Saturday, June 13th from 9 – 11 am.
The May 28th event will be held at the West Trenton Fire House, 40 West Upper Ferry Road and is a Drive-Through event. The June 13th event will be held at the lower-level parking lot of the Ewing Municipal Building at 2 Jake Garzio Drive and is a Walk-Up event. Please follow posted signs and directions from Police/Staff/Volunteers.

Finally, we offer this gentle reminder that picking up your dog's waste is important for the overall health of our community: your health, the health of your pet, and our environment.
Scooping your dog's poop isn't just common courtesy; it's the healthy and environmentally sound thing to do, AND it's the law! Township ordinance prohibits dog owners from allowing their pet’s waste to remain on private or public land.
To promote responsible pet ownership in public places, protect the local ecosystem, and enhance cleanliness and hygiene, we have installed pet waste stations at some of our local parks. These convenient stations are equipped with rolls of doggie waste bags making it easy for owners to take immediate action to clean up after their pets. Now, you can enjoy a more pleasant park outing, not having to tote your dog’s business home with you.
