Updates from the Recreation Department for March

Summer Jobs

Ewing Recreation Department is accepting application for summer staff for day camp counselors, teen travel counselors, Moody Park Basketball League scorekeepers, and maintenance workers. Summer Camps

Registration is open for summer camps. Register and pay by April 10^th and receive a 7% discount. The Ewing Recreation Summer Camp will run from June 29 – August 21 for grades 1 – 6 and is held on the grounds of the Ewing Sr. & Community Center (ESCC) and the rain location is Fisher Middle School. Hours are from 8:30 – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday. Early hours are from 7:30-8:30am and late hours are from 4:30 - 6:00pm. Teen Travel will be for grades 7 – 9 and run from June 29 – August 14. Campers can participate in day camp on weeks Teen Travel is not being held. Register at https://ewingnj.org/RecRegistration

Pools

The Ewing Community Pools System offers two pools for seasonal members and daily patrons. Hollowbrook Pool located at 320 Hollowbrook Drive, is scheduled to open on weekends & Memorial Day on Saturday, May 23. Saturdays are reserved for private parties 1:00 – 5:00pm and is open to the public 5:00 – 8:00pm. Operating hours for Sunday – Friday are 12:00pm – 8:00pm. The ESCC pool will open on weekends & Memorial Day starting Saturday, May 23 and both pools will open full time starting on Monday, June 16 from 12:00 noon – 8:00pm. Swim lessons start with evaluations on Saturday, June13th and space is limited. Senior Swim and Senior Water Aerobics are offered and will start on Monday, June 16, seniors register at the Senior Office for these programs. Softball and Baseball Registrations

It's time to register for Ewing Girls' Softball Spring season! Girls ages 4 and a half to 18 can participate. Register online at www.ewinggirlssoftball.com. Ewing/Lawrence Little League & Babe Ruth Baseball is also accepting registration for the spring for ages 4 to 16. ltjbsa.com.

Chess Club

The Ewing Recreation Chess Club meets on Wednesday evenings at St. Luke’s Church on Prospect St. Play is from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. Picnic Area Permits

Starting Monday, March 2, Ewing Recreations Department is taking applications for picnic permits at John S. Computer Class

The Computer Learning Center at the Hollowbrook Community Center. Learn basic skills one day only, March 25^th from 1 – 2 pm in the computer lab. Call to register at 609-883-1199 or visit room 203.

Mahjongg

Learn to play mahjongg. A six-week beginner class starts on March 18 and runs through April 22.

Wednesdays: from 2 – 4 pm.

Senior Luncheon Program

Performance: Theodore Chletsos “Ted the Tenor.

Date: Friday, March 20, 2026 from 12 - 2 PM

Location: at the Hollowbrook Community Center, 320 Hollowbrook Drive, Ewing, NJ in the Community Room.

Cost: $9 per person | $14 per couple | $11 non-resident

Mercer County Nutrition

Seniors 60 and older or anyone married to a person 60 and older is welcome to participate in the nutrition program. The program is located at the Hollowbrook Community Center. Each person is asked to donate $1, and all donations are confidential. A delicious balanced meal is served.
