Independence Day 2022 Festivities Information

Ewing's fireworks display and celebration will take place on Friday, July 1st after dark in the area of The College of New Jersey and Green Lane. Beginning at 6 PM there will be lots of family-friendly fun including a DJ, food trucks, re-enactors, face-painting, and kid’s rides.

I encourage all residents to come and celebrate with us.  I would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that while fireworks are popular during this time of year they also present a real hazard to individuals and are much better left to the professionals. Each year thousands of people are treated in hospital emergency rooms across the US due to firework related injuries, and according to the National Fire Protection Association two out of every five fires reported on July 4th are due to fireworks. Fireworks are extremely dangerous, and are against the law in New Jersey and prohibited by Ordinance in Ewing Township. In observance of Independence Day, the Ewing Township Municipal Building will be closed on Monday, July 4th. On behalf of all of Ewing Township we wish you a Happy Independence Day!
