The Ewing Veterans' Memorial Walkways were established at Major General George J. Betor Veterans Memorial Park, Ewing, N.J. on March 18, 1965, by Mayor Alfred J. Schuster. Their purpose was to further Americanization and restore national heritage and pride in Ewing Township.
Preserve your name, your family, a favorite phrase, or honor a special loved one on personalized pavers at the United States Air Force and Marines Memorial sites, Major General George J. Betor Veterans Memorial Park, Ewing, N.J.
Each memorial paver costs $100 and orders are taken year-round. They are created by Albert N. Thiel Monuments, a monument dealer located in Trenton, which creates headstones and grave markers.
You can order your paver(s) through our website, mail your order to us, give us a call at 609-883-1776, or email patrioticcommittee@ewingnj.org.
The bricks that line the Memorial walkways commemorate all United States veterans.
Each brick has a story.
Each grey paver is 4″ x 8″ with three lines of text of up to 15 characters per line. Each donor can choose the information that they would like to include on each of the three lines. Typically included, along with the name, are dates of service (if that person is still serving, you can omit the ending date), and branch of service. (Two stars signify the person was killed in action. One star denotes missing in action. - ?)
Pavers are laid as the orders are received and completed. However, there is a Brick Reveal at one of the Patriotic Committee ceremonies each year.
You may also pay lasting tribute to your veteran by purchasing a bench or tree for installation in the Veterans Memorial Park. Please check our Memorial Donations webpage for additional information. The gift of a tree is a lasting tribute that benefits the community and natural environment, and memorial benches or other park amenities offer a unique way to remember a loved one in this beautiful setting.

Bricks are available for all U. S. Veterans – Living or Deceased.
