The Ewing Emergency Management Council (EMC) is a coordinated team of local officials, first responders, businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders dedicated to ensuring Ewing Township is prepared for emergencies and disasters. Led by the Emergency Management Coordinator, the EMC plays a key role in planning, response, and recovery efforts, working in partnership with county, state, and federal agencies. The powers and duties of the Emergency Management Council are available by accessing the Township Code (Chapter 14, Article XIII).
The Council meets periodically to develop emergency response strategies, share resources, and strengthen communication between local organizations and government agencies. Members include representatives from law enforcement, fire, EMS, public works, health services, media, and community groups.
By fostering collaboration and preparedness, the EMC helps protect residents, businesses, and essential services, ensuring a swift and effective response during times of crisis.
Participation in the EMC is open to business owners, nonprofit leaders, and faith-based organizations who want to contribute to Ewing’s emergency preparedness efforts. Those interested in joining or learning more are encouraged to reach out to
