As necessitated by the long-awaited redevelopment of the former Naval Air Warfare Center on Parkway Avenue and to maintain a prized convenience, Ewing Township is moving its Brush Drop Off Convenience Center at Jack Stephan Way temporarily to the Scotch Road facility at 136 Scotch Road.
Beginning Monday, May 6, Ewing Public Works will begin accepting leaves, brush, and yard waste at Scotch Road. Residents must place brush in the provided dumpsters. Residential curb pickup will continue normally.
The Department of Public Works provides a variety of services to the Township and its residents through the Divisions listed below:
Responsible for general upkeep and maintenance of all the Township-owned buildings and grounds.
Responsible for maintenance and repair of all township vehicles including cars, trucks, light and heavy equipment, including the Senior bus.
Responsible for general upkeep and maintenance of the 14 Township-owned parks. Athletic fields and recreational facilities in Ewing include:

The Park Maintenance Division integrates scheduling and maintenance with the various community functions and sports activities of the Community Affairs Department. See our Municipal Parks page on this website about the facilities available at each park.
Responsible for the operation of the two Township Convenience Centers located at Scotch Road (bulk waste) and Jack Stephan Way (brush waste). This division interfaces with the Township’s contractor for curbside solid waste and recycling collection, Interstate Waste Services, in addition to NJDEP permit compliance.
Responsible for general road and pothole repairs, street sweeping, traffic sign maintenance and roadway striping, storm drain maintenance, leaf and brush pickup, roadside weed and grass control, and tree work.
All Divisions assist in community events, special projects and snow removal operations.
