Essential activities the Department provides for the Community:

The goal of the Health Department is to improve the health of the community by providing residents with Programs that includes:
Environmental & Consumer Health
The Health Department employs full-time licensed staff that includes: a Health Officer, Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Public Health Field Investigator, two Public Health Nurses, Registrar of Vital Statistics, an Animal Control Officer and a part-time Animal Control Officer. A Health Educator is on staff on a contractual basis.
Local Students’ Documentary Release Coincides With The Grand Opening Of Ewing’s New Animal Shelter
Give Me Shelter takes an inside look at the Ewing Animal Shelter and EASEL (Ewing Animal Shelter Extension League) in their efforts to find homes for man’s best friend. From the opening of a new shelter to adoption days, this documentary explores ways in which people can help. Join us in our efforts to provide these animals with better lives by giving back to local animal shelters.
