Release date: 6/29/2017

July Featured Artist Exhibit at Town Hall to Feature Renee Pelletier Egan

The Ewing Arts Commission and Art Has No Boundaries will feature oil painter and local educator, Renee Pelletier Egan, in July.
“On the second floor of the Municipal Building you will be able to see Ms. Egan’s beautiful oil paintings and know that you are seeing a moment in time, somewhere close to here, and its beauty and emotion of that moment is captured in this experienced artist’s brushstrokes.” said Arts Commission member Lauren Weber.

About Renee Pelletier Egan

Ms. Renee Pelletier Egan is an experienced oil painter and local art teacher of the Ewing Public High School who paints landscapes, florals, and portraits.
“As long as I can remember I have always been intrigued by landscapes. I have even at a very young age privately analyzed a landscape’s color and noticed it’s subtle and great variations,” explained Renee.
Egan’s loose brushstrokes and ability to use a wide range of colors allows your eye to do the mixing, a technique used by many Impressionist painters. She is able to capture light through trees and delicate reflection on a fresh snowfall.
Egan moved around a lot as a child providing her ample opportunities to see many different areas in the northeast and draw and paint the special places she lived. This was the start of her promising artistic career.  Her formal education in art began when she studied illustration at the Paier School of Art in Connecticut.  She would go on to School of Visual Arts In New York, where she studied advertising and graphic design.   After serving as an Art Director in New York City at an ad agency for five years, she moved back to the Bucks County area, and went back to school at The College of New Jersey, gaining her art teaching certificate.  She has also taken graduate courses at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, all the while painting local murals in the Princeton/ Bucks County area.
A travel enthusiast, she additionally enjoys painting places she visits as well. Her work has been exhibited as part of the New Hope Art League Juried Shows, ArtBridge Juried Shows, and the Ellarslie Trenton City Museum, among others.
Renee continues her painting career with full force while she enters her eighteenth year teaching, with most of those years at Ewing Town High School. She teaches higher level to AP art courses.
“We are lucky to have such a talented artist and instructor here in our district.” Ms. Weber added.
Egan’s work will be on display at Town Hall until the end of July. For more information about Egan’s work visit or send her an email at
