Parkway Avenue Safety Concept Development Study Update

A Public Information Center will be held on Tuesday, June 26th from 6 – 8 pm

The public is invited to attend a Public Information Center on the Parkway Avenue Safety Concept Development Study on Tuesday, June 26th from 6 – 8 pm at the Ewing Senior and Community Center, 999 Lower Ferry Road.  Come and learn more about the project, review exhibits, ask questions and discuss issues with project team members.  This PIC will be an open house format. 

Parkway Avenue (within the study limits) has been identified as a high-crash corridor.  The purpose of the Parkway Avenue Safety Concept Development Study is to identify and recommend improvements that will make it a safer corridor for all roadway users.

 Project Schedule

  • Document existing conditions – complete
  • Development of improvement alternatives – complete
  • Selection of preliminary improvement alternative – in-progress
  • Submission of Draft Report – Summer 2018
  • Completion of Concept Development Phase – Fall 2018

The Parkway Avenue Safety Improvements Study is being conducted by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, in collaboration with Mercer County, Ewing Township and the City of Trenton with a goal of identifying needed safety improvements along Parkway Avenue from Scotch Road (CR 611) to Pennington Road (NJ 31).
