P/T CLERK POSITION

EWING TOWNSHIP, Clerk's Office is now accepting applications for a part-time Clerk for IMMEDIATE HIRE.  Responsibilities include data entry; filing records; answering phones; customer service; preparing and submitting various reports and documents; processing requests for information under various authority including, but not limited to, the Open Public Records Act.  Applicants must be technologically savvy with the ability to use Microsoft products and to learn other programs; possess excellent customer service skills; and have the ability to carry out and follow instructions.  This is a part time position that may lead to full time employment.

Ewing residency and a valid NJ driver's license are required.

F/T RECORDS SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

EWING TOWNSHIP, Police Department is now accepting applications for a full-time Records Support Technician for IMMEDIATE HIRE.  Applicants must be technologically proficient; demonstrate a background in customer service; and possess the ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. 

Must be a Ewing resident 
Valid NJ Driver's License required. 
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN EXTENSIVE POLICE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK. physical, and drug screen. 

The annual salary for this position is $26,000 per the CWA union contract and is non-negotiable.

F/T PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATOR TRAINEE

EWING TOWNSHIP is now accepting applications for a Public Safety Telecommunicator Trainee. This is a full-time position. Rotating schedule of 12 hours shifts. Under close supervision, receive and respond to requests for emergency assistance including law enforcement, fire, medical, or other emergency services. Other duties as assigned. 

Must be a resident of NJ 
Valid NJ Driver's License required. 
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN EXTENSIVE POLICE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK. physical, and drug screen. 

Initial annual salary is $32,000 dollars. Depending on certifications and years of experience as Police Dispatcher salary may be negotiable.

IMPORTANT: Your application may be rejected if it is incomplete. The Personnel Office cannot complete the application process for you! It is your responsibility to make your own copies. Failure to comply with the instructions below could cause a delay and/or the rejection of your application.

  • Upon submission of your application, you must attach a copy of proof of residency, in accordance to the Ewing Township Residency Ordinance 2-17.5 adopted in 1977. This information is strictly confidential and will not be viewed by anyone other than Human Resources.

  • If applying for a truck driver or equipment operator position, you must possess a valid CDL license through the State of New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles. A copy of this license must be attached to your application in addition to all other required documents.

  • Any and all inspector positions require State of New Jersey Certifications. Copies of the appropriate license(s) or certification(s) must accompany your application as well.

  • All applications are filed in the Ewing Township Personnel Office for a period of two years. You can check back on this page for job postings.

  • Specific job requirements can be obtained from the Civil Service Commission (formerly New Jersey Department of Personnel) web site – www.state.nj.us/csc/
